Cryotherapy is a treatment which freezes and destroys cutaneous lesions through the application of liquid nitrogen. It allows tissue to be obtained without bleeding and painlessly, as the cold has an anesthetic effect. This destruction technique is used on superficial lesions or on patients who cannot undergo surgery.
