Human Papilloma Virus

The human papilloma virus can cause small bumps called genital warts on the genital area. These are transmitted from one person to another through sexual contact, whether vaginal, anal or oral.

Sometimes people affected by the human papilloma virus do not present obvious lesions and therefore are not aware they are infected or do not know when they were infected.

If you suspect you might have the papilloma virus, consult a specialist as soon as possible. Treatment in these cases can vary from topical creams applied by the patient themselves or techniques performed by the doctor, such as laser interventions, surgery or cryotherapy, among others.
