Photodynamic therapy<\/strong> is a recently developed and effective technique for the destruction of superficial cutaneous tumors. This therapy is notable for its better aesthetic results compared with other tumor destruction techniques, making it the technique of choice for the treatment of localized tumors on very visible areas of the body.<\/p>\n

The therapy works by administering a medication containing a photosensitizing substance, which selectively penetrates the cancerous cells.
